I am a proud Bronx native who currently resides in Fredericksburg, Virginia with my husband and teenage daughter.
The first time I learned that Black mothers in NYC were 3x more likely to die from complications related to childbirth (read as systemic racism), it broke my heart. Since then, the number has risen to 12!
Consequently, I found an inclusive doula agency that prepared me to support marginalized birthing individuals. I trained to become a Full Spectrum Doula. In an effort to provide the most overall support for my clients I also became a Certified Placenta Encapsulator, as well as a Lamaze trained Childbirth Educator.
Birth planning and Postpartum planning
I enjoy teaching them to make informed decisions
1) Doordash gift cards
2) Perineal foam
3) Babywearing sling
4) The Birth Partner
5) Slow cooker/instant pot
Postpartum planning is essential.
I like going hiking on the weekend with my husband and discovering Virginia since I am still relatively new to the area. I also enjoy cooking for my family almost as much as I like watching movies with them as we add our own commentary.
I have traveled to 18 countries!
